Q: On some websites it stresses extensively that hybrids are not a house pet, they do not potty train as easily, nor are they easily contained (i.e. in houses, fenced in, etc.) Also it states that they are more likely to tear up furniture or gnaw on furniture/ walls. Is this true or because of the low percent of wolf is this not applicable to your breed?

A: Since these are low content, and are mostly German Shepherd, they will have a lot of German Shepherd traits, and also some Wolf traits.  The %75 Arctic Wolf %25 Alaskan Malamute (who my brother and sister-in-law owns) has separation anxiety when they leave he has chewed their furniture and chewed through their wall...  And our mid content female Wolf Hybrid is a great escape artist, and has gotten out a few times, but since we got a electric wire fencing and lined it up with our fence, it has kept her in and she has not tryed to escape since then.  But we have not had any problems like that with our low content puppies, most of our puppies have gone to homes with kids and other animals and have not had any problems with that.  Everyone who have bought a puppy from us has always called or emailed and tolled us how surprised where because the puppies learned commands easily, and how fast they where able to potty train them, and one puppy has been in training for Search and Rescue,  our puppies are very smart and intelligent.

Q: Is this breed capable of learning and fulfilling my desires as a protection dog?

A: Most definately

Q: Is German Shepherd – Wolf hybrids acceptable to being around other (older) dogs as well as cats?

A: Yes, even the %75 Arctic Wolf/Alaskan Malamute does great with other animals including cats  (and even shares his food with them).  Most of our puppies have went to homes with other dogs and cats, and we have had no complaints at all.

Q: Is German Shepherd – Wolf hybrids any more aggressive then normal German Shepherd breed?

A: I think it all depends on how they are rasied.

Q: Can you suggest any in store food brands once I decide to get my new pup?

A: What we found works best for our dogs is Kirklands (Costco brand) Lamb and Rice dog food which you can buy a big bag of for around $24, it has no corn in it and most Wolf Hybirds have some kind of allergies to corn and will get hot rashs.

Q: Can you please e-mail me with more information about this breed? My over all question is what are the main differences between a German Shepherd wolf hybrid and a German Shepherd?

A: I think the diffrence is that Wolf Hybirds are smarter and more intelligent, than a normal German Shepherd,  and they are very good at reading people, if their is something about someone they do not like, they will let you know, like when a guy came over to look at our puppies and wanted to meet the partents, Cujo, did not like him at all and was growling and showing his teeth, and he is the one who is very good with people, and the puppies did not like him even, so that would tell you something right their (we did not give him a puppy).

Q: Puppy food

A: It's best to stay on a certaint kind of dog food because if you change it around often it can make them really sick it can cause vomiting and diarrea.
